Celebrate National Running Day in the Bronx

Wednesday June 4th is National Running Day! NYRR will be giving out free five-borough bandanas at free group runs and water stations in parks across the five boroughs, including Central Park, Prospect Park in Brooklyn, Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, Clove Lakes Park in Staten Island, and Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. o   Runners can also customize their own National Running Day race bibs at these locations.

Summer Sports Experience

Kids are invited to the Summer Sports Experience, a series of free intensive sports clinics taught by knowledgeable NYC Parks staff.  Clinics cover sports like baseball, basketball, soccer, futsal, lacrosse, volleyball, track, and lawn games. The clinics are held most weekdays in a park, playground, or recreation center in NYC.  Each session lasts from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The clinics are totally free, and there’s no need to register.
