Arts in the Gardens Event Calendar

New York Restoration Project (NYRP) and The Bronx Museum of the Arts have partnered up again to present a season of free arts programming in three NYRP community gardens in the Tremont, Mott Haven and Highbridge neighborhoods of the Bronx. From June to August Bronxites can enjoy a calendar of performing arts in a natural, outdoor setting. The event series will feature a mixed line-up of family-friendly events, including movie night

Co-Op presents Bronx Tale

Co-Op presents Bronx Tale, an inaugural event on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 5-8pm. Transforming a 1940’s villa in Riverdale, we bring together a selection of artworks, furniture, fashion and jewelry. Merging a myriad of artistic micro narratives we stage an optical phenomenon that lasts shortly. In a world of rapidly changing trends, an experiential environment with esteemed tastemakers from various creative industries is introduced to the audience in Riverdale.

Family Art Day

Dubbed in Reflection: Family Day Arts organization, No Longer Empty is hosting a free Family Day event on May 30 from 1-4pm at the Old Bronx Borough Courthouse. This afternoon of art-making will be lead by Bronx-based artist and educator, Lady K Fever. School Art and Performance Expo at Mall at Bay Plaza

Since January, Bronx Children’s Museum’s teaching artists introduced second graders at P.S 49 to the history of Afro Latin Jazz and art.    The Dream Big Afterschool program encouraged students to express themselves through the visual arts and original poetry which they transformed into songs.
