As a first time Mom of a vibrant healthy baby boy, this immediate and overwhelming sensation to give him the best of everything came over me. Before he was even born the conversation of “FOOD” arose between my husband and I. With all of the research we have done between the two of us on healthy foods, healthy living, and the cause and effects of the chemical by-products that we are all ingesting with our everyday meals, naturally this concerned us. We immediately made the decision to begin his solid food journey with natural and homemade foods.
In this journey of looking for recipes and researching the best products to make this as painless and simple as possible we had the chance to try Sage Spoonfuls
. Being a working Mom I needed something quick and simple to be able to keep to this promise. After trying one of their many recipes I wanted to do more. In a matter of 15 minutes I had made Homemade Apple Sauce
for at least 6-8 servings!
The book provided a comprehensive recipe to follow, along with nutritional facts about what you are feeding your baby. There are also pointers about what foods may be better for your baby for example if they are constipated vs what you should feed them if they have diarrhea as well as some facts about food allergies.
There are some products out there to make pureed homemade baby food but they limit you to just that. The Food Processor and Immersion Blender can be used well past your pureeing stages and be a great kitchen tool for any meal preparation, which is why I think this product is a must try especially for Moms on the go- and would make a great shower gift also!
Want to try it for yourself? One lucky Bronxmama reader will win the Glass Homemade Essentials Package
