Twilight Halloween Tours

Event Description: Participants will embark on a classic twilight tour, led by Cemetery and Conservancy staff and docents, to explore the unsolved mysteries and untimely endings of some of Woodlawn’s most infamous residents.  Hear the tales of the Lindenburgh kidnapping and the tragic sinking of the Titanic; and visit the final resting place of Olive Thomas Pickford, once the “Most Beautiful Girl in the World” and now suspected to be the spirit that haunts Broadway’s New Amsterdam Theatre, and Ruth Snyder Brown, the first woman killed at Sing-Sing, among many others.

Dates: October 19, 20, and 25; 7 – 9pm.

Location: Meet at Woodlawn’s Jerome Avenue entrance. Jerome Ave & Bainbridge Ave, Bronx, NY 10470.

Price: $15 for adults; discounts for Conservancy Members, seniors and students.

“The Sacred Departed” Halloween Tours

Event Description: This deluxe tour will go beyond the spooky and mysterious and delve into the spiritual and sacred elements of Halloween. Developed by folklorist Elena Martinez of City Lore, the twilight tour will explore the many facets of the Halloween season and will feature actors channeling the spirits of those now departed for an outdoor, tour-meets-theatre experience.
Dates: October 26, 30, and 31; 7 – 9pm.
