Enjoy a botanically inspired cocktail and experience an evening viewing of Wild Medicine: Healing Plants Around the World, Featuring The Italian Renaissance Garden in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. Wild Medicine includes magnificent displays of flowers such as foxgloves, poppies, and lavender, along with architectural elements evoking the Western world’s oldest botanical garden, founded in 1545 at the University of Padua in Italy. Relax in the Conservatory Tent for a live concert. Light picnic fare and other refreshments will be available for purchase. There will also be a cash bar.

Who: “A Brief History of Italian Music in Jazz with Simona Premazzi”
Simona Premazzi and her ensemble, including Marco Panascia on bass and Shinnosuke Takahashi on drums, perform standards by Italian-American composers, presented with a jazz flavor. Sit back and enjoy beautiful songs from the Neapolitan and Roman tradition as well as compositions by the most interesting Italian songwriters, including Domenico Modugno, Armando Travojoli, Frabrizio De Andre’, and others.
Tickets: Adult Non-Member $30/Member $20 (includes one complimentary cocktail for adults 21 and over or non-alcoholic beverage). Advance tickets are recommended.
Notes: The concert is in an open air pavilion tent with seating for all attendees to enjoy the performance, rain or shine. Bring your own blankets and picnic dinner to enjoy outside on the Conservatory Lawn before the concert. Picnic dinners, beer, wine, and other refreshments will also be available for purchase.
