Tots and Tales at Parkchester Library– 10:30-11:00am For infants and children to age 36 months. Toddlers from birth to 3 years old and their parents/caregivers can enjoy interactive stories, action songs, and finger plays, and spend time with other toddlers in the neighborhood.There is a limit of 20 children and their caregivers per session. Tickets will be handed out day of program.
Tuesday April 9th
Bilingual Birdies: Spanish Language– For children, infants to age 18 months, ages 18 to 36 months, ages 3 to 5 years. A foreign language and live music program for children ages newborn to five years old with parent/caregiver. The bilingual musicians teach through live music, movement, puppetry and games. Each session ends with a lively bubble dance party! Children learn basic vocabulary and short phrases while playing with instruments and fun props.
Wednesday April 10th
Meet Gustafer Yellowgold– 4pm. For ages 3 to 12 years. First come, first served. Gustafer Yellowgold’s Show is a multi-media performance of live music, animated illustrations and storytelling. Since his creation by Morgan Taylor in 2005, Gustafer Yellowgold has become an international phenomenon, acclaimed by The New York Times which described Gustafer as “a cross between Yellow Submarine and Dr. Seuss.”Entertainment Weekly praised it with having “…the most infectious original songs. It’s like tapping into some pleasure center in the brain- both adult and kid…absurdly appealing. Grade: A.” New York magazine named Morgan Taylor “Best Kids’ Performer” in a recent “Best of New York” issue. For ages 4 and older.

Why the Sky is Far Away and Other Stories to Celebrate the Earth– 3pm.
For ages 3 to 12 years. First come, first served. Presented by award-winning storyteller LuAnn Adams. Recommended for ages 4 and older.

Krafty Kids–3:30 pm. For ages 5 to 12 years. Audience: School Age (5-12 years)
